Katie, a freelance video editor in desperate need of work, receives a high-paying offer from an anonymous employer to edit a mysterious and bizarre video. Short on cash and facing eviction, Katie eagerly accepts the job. The video shows people being tortured and even killed on camera – surely this is just a cleverly staged fiction. But when that first job leads to even more lucrative work and more disturbingly realistic snuff films, Katie’s life begins to fall apart. Strange figures in her apartment, terrifying nightmares that keep her awake at night, and a mysterious illness afflicting her cat. It’s only when Katie decides to quit her job that she discovers just how cruel her anonymous employer is and how far she herself is willing to go to get out of her contract.
